sharing about .NET and technology RSS 2.0
# Sunday, April 03, 2005

I bought the domain name a couple of months ago but finally the site is online. The purpose of IStaySharp.NET is to provide a resource site for .NET developers (articles, faq, etc.) and to provide information on the projects I am working on.

The two projects currently online is log4xsl which is a xsl for viewing XML files generated by log4net. Below you find an example of the output:

The WebBrowser library is the second project and fully embeds the webbrowser functionality of Internet Explorer and Mozilla. It also provides some extra functionality for Internet Explorer. Below you find a sampe project (top is IE and bottom is Mozilla) that can be downloaded on the site.

There are other projects coming and will be updated to the site. If you have any questions and/or feedback please contact me (contact mail can be found in the About menu).

Oh, iStay#.net is very good. I like the style very much. Does it base on dasblog? I want my website to be more beautiful. Could you give me some advice? Thank you for consideration. I hope iStay# will be better and better.

thx for your positive feedback
It's not based on Dasblog, it's created from scratch.
But very simple with web controls (footer, article, menu, etc.)
and xml.
I found it not so simple to choose a layout for the website.
It may not be too fancy so that it doesn't look professional
anymore and not too simple (boring) so that the visitors on
your site will not come back, for example bad navigation.

Here is some advice I would like to give you (doesn't
mean that IStay# conforms to all these rules, but it's also
growing in time)

- easy navigation => visitors do not get lost on the site
- not too fancy, maybe 3 or maximum 4 colors on your site
so that it looks professional
- if there is some content, it's always nice to have a
print version
- a forum can be usefull, or certainly some medium where
visitors can give some feedback
- the ability to search on the content of the site
- and last but certainly not least, is the content itself
the site will only have 'success' if you update the site
regulary. A site must live!!!

Success with your site :-)
